On Thursday 4th August 2022 Manuel HB9DQM/P and Chiristian HB9GIN/P two radio amateurs from Switzerland reached the summit of Chüealphorn and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 44 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.

The summit of Chüealphorn is 3078 metres (10098 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
