Cheli's Chili Bar (StreetView)
Future NHL Hall of Fame defenseman Chris Chelios owns this sports bar located across the street from Comerica Park. A second location in Dearborn closed in February 2013. He also owned a bar in Chicago in the 1990's.

"Cheli" played in 1,651 NHL regular season games from 1984-2010. His first seven seasons were with the Montreal Canadiens. In 1990, he was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks, where he spent nine seasons. He was traded to the Detroit Red Wings in 1999, where he stayed until 2009. In his final pro season, he spent most of the time in the minor leagues, but managed a brief promotion to the Atlanta Thrashers. He was hired to work in the Detroit Red Wings front office after he retired.

In 2007, two employees were fatally stabbed here by a former busboy. He was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
