On Thursday 21st March 2024 at 10:20 UTC, Nick HB9DDZ a radio amateur from Switzerland made contact with Mila OK1DOC/P a radio amateur from the Czech Republic who was operating from CHKO Krivoklatsko (OKFF-0018) on the 60m amateur radio band. Mila made 58 contacts in total while he was in the park.
CHKO Krivoklatsko (OKFF-0018), is a protected area of 62,497 hectares south west of Prague in the Czech Republic. It was designated in 1970 and is an IUCN Management Category V area.
An IUCN Management Category V area is a lived-in working landscape, where the interaction of people with the natural landscape has resulted in a landscape with significant biological, ecological and scenic value.
