On Friday 8th July 2022 Dave HB3YNL/P a radio amateur from Switzerland reached the summit of Cima de Gagela and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 9 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 15 and 10 metre HF amateur radio bands.
