On Saturday 30th July 2022 Gokham VA6GOK a radio amateur from Calgary, AB reached the summit of Cypress Hills Fire Lookout and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 4 contacts in total working on the 20 metre HF amateur radio band.
The summit of Cypress Hills Fire Lookout is 1373 metres (4505 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
