Diyarbakir Fortress

Diyarbakır Fortress is a World Heritage Site (inscribed in 2015) in the city of Diyarbakır.

It is claimed that the walls of the fortress date from the 6th century BC and possibly were originally the walls of the Roman city of Amida

It is also claimed that the walls are the second longest. widest and complete fortification walls in the world after only the Great Wall of China.
