On Tuesday 6th June 2023, DS5SQS and 6K5XZE, two radio amateurs from South Korea reached the summit of 반야봉 (Banyabong) and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
They made 21 contacts in total working on the 2m, 20m and 40m amateur radio band.
The summit 반야봉 (Banyabong) is 1734 metres (5689 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
