On Sunday 31st March 2024 at 13:25 UTC, Zdenko 9A4FM, a radio amateur from Croatia, made contact with Pavel OK1VEI/P, a radio amateur from the Czech Republic, who was operating from EVL Litovelské Pomoraví (OKFF-3322), on the 40m amateur radio band. Pavel made a total of 51 contacts while at the reserve.
EVL Litovelské Pomoraví (OKFF-3322)[Litovel Pomerania], is a Protected Landscape Area covering 9,458.5647 hectares lying to the north-east of Brno in the east of the Czech Republic. It is a IUCN Management Category V area.
An IUCN Management Category V area is a lived-in working landscape, where the interaction of people with the natural landscape has resulted in a landscape with significant biological, ecological and scenic value.
In 1993 Litovelské Pomoraví was designated as a Wetland of International Importance under the Ramsar Convention.
