On Friday 22nd March 2024 at 14:05 UTC, Fri DL4FDM, a radio amateur from Germany made contact with Vladimir OK7DA/P, a radio amateur from the Czech Republic who was operating from NPR Ramena reky Moravy (OKFF-0116) on the 30m amateur radio band.
NPR Ramena reky Moravy (OKFF-0116), is a protected area of 65 hectares lying close to the village of Horka nad Moravou in the Olomouc district north east of Brno in the Czech Republic. It was designated as a National Nature Reserve in 1990 and is an IUCN Management Category III area.
An IUCN Management Category III area is set aside to protect a specific natural monument in this case the lowland flow of the branches of the Morava River.
