On Monday 1st April 2024 at 08:04 UTC, Klaus DL6MST, a radio amateur from Germany made contact with Olaf (DL7CX) using the callsign OK8CX/P, a radio amateur from Germany, who was operating from EVL Zhořská mokřina (OKFF-3280), on the 40m amateur radio band. Olaf made a total of 37 contacts while at the reserve.
EVL Zhořská mokřina (OKFF-32800)[One Mountain Plateau] is a Protected Area covering 11,779.5895 hectares lying to the north-west of Prague in the north-west of the Czech Republic close to the border with Germany. It was first designated as a protected area in 2005 with the latest announcement being made in 2016.
