On Saturday 17th September 2022, Simon VA2NM/W2, a radio amateur from Verdun, QC reached the summit of Giant Mountain and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 5 contacts in total working on the 20 metre HF amateur radio band.
The summit of Giant Mountain is 1410 metres (4626 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
