On Monday 27th June 2022 David K2CZH/P a radio amateur from Succasunna, NJ reached the summit of Grassy Knob and became thie first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
David made 16 contacts in total working 60, 40, 17 and 10 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Grassy Knob is 1335 metres (4380 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups data base.
