On Saturday 6th May 2023, Allen AG4VA, a radio amateur from Charlotte, VA reached the summit of Greaver Benchmark and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 17 contacts in total working on the 2m and 40m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Greaver Benchmark is 1270 metres (4167 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
