On Saturday 11th March 2023, Hartwig F/DL7BC/P, a radio amateur from Germany reached the summit of Haut des Yraux and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 156 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40, 20, 15 and 10 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Haut des Yraux is 985 metres (3232 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
