On Sunday 24th July 2022 Markus OE/IN3ADF/P a radio amateur from Italy reached the summit of Hollbrucker Spitze and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 34 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VJHF and the 40, 20 and 10 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Hollbrucker Spitze is 2580 metres (8465 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
