On Saturday 19th August 2023, Martin OE/DK3IT/P, a radio amateur from Germany, reached the summit of Köllenspitze and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 8 contacts in total working on the 40m amateur radio band.
The summit of Köllenspitze is 2238 metres (7343 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
