On Thursday 17th August 2023, William N6MTB, a radio amateur from Vista, CA reached the summit of Kaibab Plateau and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 20 contacts in total working on the 40m and 30m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Kaibab Plateau is 2811 metres (9222 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
