On Monday 9th October 2023, Andy OE6ADE/P, a radio amateur from Austria, reached the summit of Kendlspitze and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 17 contacts in total working on the 40m and 20m amateur radio bands.
