On Friday 14th October 2022, EA4BQG/P, a radio amateur from central Spain reached the summit of La Forquiella and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 50 contacts in total working on the 40 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.

The summit of La Forquiella is 2167 metres (7110 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
