On Friday 8th September 2023, Santiago EA2EOW, a radio amateur from Spain, reached the summit of Punta Fuesa and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 24 contacts in total working on the 2m, 40m and 20m amateur radio bands.
