On Tuesday 26th March 2024 at 10:45 UTC, Nick HB9DDZ, a radio amateur from Switzerland, made contact with Guido HB9BQB/P, a radio amateur from Switzerland, who was operating from the Lägern Forest Reserves, ZH part (HBFF-0321), on the 10m amateur radio band.
The Lägern Forest Reserves, ZH part (HBFF-0321), is a protected area of 80.96 hectares located in the Zurich Canton, lying east of Weiningen in the north of Switzerland. It was designated as a Forest Reserve in 2018. It has reference number 160_ZH_201 on the Forest Reserves Inventory maintained by the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN).
Guido was at the summit of Lägern (672 metres) while he was as the reserve and made a total of 8 contacts for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
