On Monday 25th March 2024 at 13:33 UTC, Zdenko 9A4FM, a radio amateur from Croatia made contact with Jarmo OH2CGU/P, a radio amateur from Finland who was operating from Lähteensilmä (OHFF-1631) on the 20m amateur radio band. Jarno made 89 contacts while he was at the reserve.
Lähteensilmä (OHFF-1631), is a protected area of 2 hectares located to the south-west of Pukkila and to the north-east of Helsinki in Finland. It was designated as a Private Nature Reserve in 2015 and is an IUCN Management Category IV area.
IUCN Management Category IV areas are areas to protect particular species or habitats and are managed to prioritise this objective.
