On Friday 8th July 2022 Manuel HB9DQM/P a radio amateur from Switzerland reached the summit of Lagginhorn and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 41 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40, 20 and 17 metre HF amateur radio bands.
