On Friday 11th August 2023, Carine HB9FZC/P & Rene HB9NBG/P, two radio amateurs from Switzerland, reached the summit of Stellihorn and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 15 contacts in total working on the 20m amateur radio band.

The summit of Stellihorn is 3436 metres (11273 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
