This 3/8 mile dirt oval race track closed down after the 2007 season due to the rising costs of doing business. It is seen here five years later as it deteriorates into the natural landscape. It was previously known as Interlakes Speedway.
Drivers who left the racing surface at the north turn sometimes ended up in the nearby pond.

The reason it closed was due to the owner of the racetrack 30 miles to the south buying it and then that very moment selling the land to an area farmer. Nothing to do with rising costs. There were other people bidding that would have gotten it had they only known the crap Lyle had planned ahead of time.
