On Thursday 21st March 2024 at 12:14 UTC, Zdenko 9A4FM a radio amateur from Croatia made contact with Chris SP5DU/P a radio amateur from Poland who was operating from Ulvenhoutsebos (PAFF-0136) on the 40m amateur radio band.
Ulvenhoutsebos (PAFF-0136), is a protected area of 30,691 hectares of protected land north west of Brest in eastern Poland. It was designated as a Protected Landscape park in 1994 and is an IUCN Management Category V area.
An IUCN Management Category V area is a lived-in working landscape, where the interaction of people with the natural landscape has resulted in a landscape with significant biological, ecological and scenic value.
