On Thursday 21st March 2024 at 10:38 UTC, ON4LO a radio club from Belgium made contact with Chris SP5DU/P a radio amateur from Poland who was operating from Natura 2000 area - Ostoja Nadbuzanska (SPFF-0606) on the 20m amateur radio band.
Natura 2000 area - Ostoja Nadbuzanska (SPFF-0606), is a protected area of 46,037 hectares of land north along the banks of the Rzeka Bug river in Poland. It was designated as a Site of Community Importance under the Habitats Directive in 2008 the area is in the Natura 2000 network.
The Natura 2000 network extends across the European Unioin and protects many of Europe's most valuable and threatened habitats and species.
