On Sunday 10th September 2023, Mihaela YO5MCM/P & Ioan YO5IA/P, a couple of radio amateurs from Romania, reached the summit of Lespezi and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 79 contacts in total working on the 2m, 40m, 20m and 15m amateur radio bands.

The summit of Lespezi is 2517 metres (8258 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
