Lock 14– Llangollen Canal

This is one of the locks on the Llangollen Canal which is known as Grindley Brook Bottom Lock No. 6.

The 44 mile (72km) long Llangollen Canal links Llangollen in Wales with Hurleston in the unitary authority of Cheshire East, in the ceremonial county of Cheshire, in England. At Hurleston there is a junction with the Shropshire Union Canal.

This lock is close to the start of the South Cheshire Way which is a bi-directional walking route, which runs for 34 miles (55km) from here in Shropshire to Mow Cop in Cheshire.
