On Wednesday 20th March 2024 at 15:10 UTC, Lothar DL3HXX a radio amateur from Germany made contact with Joseph W4WJE a radio amateur from Clifton, VA who was operating from Manassas National Battlefield Park (KFF-0712) on the 15m amateur radio band.
Manassas National Battlefield Park was establish to preserve the landscape where two major battles of the American Civil War were fought. The Park has many facilities which inform visitors how the battles were fought and the deployment of the combatants on the ground.
