On Monday 25th September 2023, Jo I1WKN/P & IK1RAC/P, two radio amateurs from Italy, reached the summit of Monfandi and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
They made 60 contacts in total working on the 70cm, 2m, 6m, 40m, 20m, 12m and 10m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Monfandi is 2820 metres (9252 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
