On Monday 27th June 2022 Chris CT8/KQ6UP/P a radio amateur from Grand Terrace,CA, reached the summit of Montanha do Pico and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
Chris made 10 contacts in total working on 15 metre HF amateur radio band.
The summit of Montanha do Pico 2350 metres (7710 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups data base.
