On Saturday 10th September 2022, Santiago EA2EOW, a radio amateur from Spain reached the summit of Monte Bachesango and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 8 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF amateur radio band.
