On Sunday 13th August 2023, Julian IN3JIB/P, a radio amateur from Italy, reached the summit of Monte Costa / Amperspitze and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 8 contacts in total working on the 20m amateur radio band.
The summit of Monte Costa / Amperspitze is 2687 metres (8815 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
