On Monday 18th July 2022 Kei JA1CTC/P a radio amateur from Japan reached the summit of Moriyasan and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 12 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40 HF amateur radio bands.
