On Sunday 14th May 2023, Juan EA7KNC, a radio amateur from Spain reached the summit of Morrón del Mediodía and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made a total of 64 contacts on the 40m and 20m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Morrón del Mediodía is 2751 metres (9026 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
