On Saturday13th April 2024, Andrew VK3JBLJ/P, a radio amateur from the state of Victoria, Australia reached the summit of Mt Winstanley and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 24 contacts in total working on the 40m, 20m and 10m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Mt Winstanley is 1523 metres (4997 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
