On Saturday 23rd March 2024 at 10:36 UTC, Ivo 9A1AA, a radio amateur from Croatia made contact with Krzysztof SP1MVG/P, a radio amateur from Poland who was operating from the Nature and Landscape complex Pilesza River Valley (SPFF-2579) on the 40m amateur radio band.
The Nature and Landscape complex Pilesza River Valley (SPFF-2579), is a protected area of 18.1800 hectares located in Goleniowski county, Nowograd, West Pomerania, Poland. It was designated as a Nature and Landscape Complex in 2007.
The area has both semi-natural and managed meadows and pastureland which is rich in biodiversity and in particular bird species.
