On Saturday 30th March 2024 at 09:35 UTC, Fred DL8DXL, a radio amateur from Germany, made contact with Jean-Pierre DLHB9HBV/P, a radio amateur from Switzerland, who was operating from Nature Park Südschwarzwaldd (DLFF-0124), on the 40m amateur radio band. Jean-Pierre made a total of 29 contacts while at the reserve.
Nature Park Südschwarzwaldd (DLFF-0124)[Southern Black Forest Nature Park], covers an area of 394,000 hectares lying in Baden-Württemberg, south-west Germany. 33,516 hectares of the Nature Park was designated as a Special Protection Area under the EU's Birds Directive in 2009 and is part of the Natura 2000 network.
Natura 2000 aims to protect many of Europe's most vulnerable and threatened habitats and species.
