On Wednesday 29th March 2023, Fred WX1S, a radio amateur from Strafford, NH reached the summit of the North Peak on Mount Tripyramid and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 25 contacts in total working on the 40, 30, 20, 15 and 10 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of the North Peak on Mount Tripyramid is 1274 metres (4180 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
