On Thursday 28th March 2024 at 16:48 UTC, Jacek SQ8IJR, a radio amateur from Poland, made contact with Martin OL/OK5MCA/P, a radio amateur from the Czech Republic, who was operating from NPR Zoborska lesostep (OMFF-0177), on the 40m amateur radio band. Martin made a total of 66 contacts while at the reserve.
NPR Zoborska lesostep (OMFF-0177)[Zoborska forest-steppe], is a protected area of 23.0800 hectares lying to the north of the city of Nitra in the west of Slovakia. It was designated in 2004 as a National Nature Reserve. The reserve was established to protect and conserve the steppe and forest-steppe habitats of the region and the species which are found there.
