On Friday 29th March 2024 at 08:29 UTC, Zdenko 9A4FM, a radio amateur from Croatia, made contact with Martin OM/OK5MCA/P, a radio amateur from the Czech Republic, who was operating from PP Svoradova jaskyna (OMFF-1012), on the 40m amateur radio band.
PP Svoradova jaskyna (OMFF-1012)[Svorad's cave], is a protected Nature Monument lying to the north of the city of Nitra in the west of Slovakia. The protection was established in 1994 to allow public access to the cave to appreciate its natural and historic value. Svorad's cave is in IUCN Management Category III.
An IUCN Management Category III area is set aside to protect a specific natural monument as in this case Svorad's cave
