On Sunday 2nd April 2023, Carlos CT1HIX, a radio amateur from Portugal reached the summit of Outeiro Alvo and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 42 contacts in total working on the 30 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.
