On Monday 18th July 2022 Mike KE5AKL a radio amateur from Albuquerque, NM reached the summit of Pajarito Mountain and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 55 contacts in total working on the 40, 30, 20, 17 and 10 HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Pajarito Mountain is 3182 metres (10440 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
