On Tuesday 22nd August 2023, Vittorio IK1RAC, a radio amateur from Italy, reached the summit of Pelvo d'Elva and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 22 contacts in total working on the 70cm, 2m, 20m, 17m, 12m and 10m amateur radio bands.
