On Saturday 15th July 2023, MarkusOE/HB9DIZ/P, a radio amateur from Switzerland reached the summit of Pezid and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 15 contacts in total working on the 40m amateur radio band.
