On Saturday 29th July 2023, Alberto EA3GNU/P, a radio amateur from Spain, reached the summit of Pic de I’Enfer and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 21 contacts in total working on the 40 and 20m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Pic de I’Enfer is 2869 metres (9413 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
