On Friday 1st July 2022 Ray W7USA/P a radio amateur from Phoenix, Az reached the summit of Pinal Peak and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
Ray made 15 contacts in total working on 2 metres VHF and 40 metres HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Pinal Peak is 2393 metres (7851 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups data base.
