On Tuesday 22nd August 2023, Colwyn FR/M0YCJ/P, a radio amateur from Scotland, reached the summit of Piton des Basaltes and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 2 contacts working on the 15m amateur radio band.
