On Sunday 24th July 2022 Manuel HB9DQM/P and Christian HB9GIN/P two radio amateur from Switzerland reached the summit of Piz dal Ras and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 69 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 60, 40, 30 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.

The summit of Piz dal Ras is 3028 metres (9934 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
